Pasture and Forest-Raised Berkshire Pork


Management Practices

We purchase 100% Berkshire piglets from a responsible breeder in Natural Bridge, Virginia, and immediately put them out onto pasture to forage the pastures and forests.  We move them every 1-2 weeks to new forage.

We do not administer antibiotics or any external hormones or growth agents.  Beyond their natural forage, the pigs are supplemented with non-GMO grains from Virginia growers.

The pigs are then harvested under USDA-inspection by a local small business.  Forage-raised Berkshire pork is absolutely amazing - the marbling within the meat makes the flavor and texture truly unique!
